Sängerknaben

Vienna boys choir had an open house last week. Luckily I had a chance to visit it.
Boys live and learn in a palace in Augarten.The palace was gorgeous,with its very large garden. The view from the palace was terrific. Nowadays this choir gathers boys with good voice not only from Austria but from all over the world.

A mad tea party

Last month I was in extreme distress.
Physically I caught a viral disease. Mentally I was tired after joining a mad meeting.
Nobody could enjoy when they saw  a powerful person use his authority and beat someone in public. We felt the unpleasant aftertaste.

Elsa: "There is a close bond of affection between Bob and James,right? "

Display

Elsa checks every shelf.  When I open my drawer, she immediately jumps into it. Also in the pantry.
Sometimes she sits on the shelf like one of my bags.

Bratislava

I have been to Bratislava,the capital of Slovakia,down the Danube on  a boat. It's only 60 km from Vienna to Bratislava. We can go by bus or train, but the fine view from the boat was marvelous.

Michael: " This box for my napping is getting smaller. Give me a bigger one."
Mama: " Lose weight!"

We can see very beautiful courtyards or quadrangles in Vienna.
Especially in the central part ,1st district,in which so many people (most of them are tourists) are walking around Stefans Dom, when you once enter a courtyard, you will feel time slipped. It's very calm, no people, the atmosphere is that of ancient times.

Elsa:" Mummy, give me this box. A good house for me."

Freud

This is our livingroom. At one time, many years ago, this was a psycologist's practice.
I don't know his name but he was an adviser of the famous psycologist Freud .I hear he often visited his professor. Probablly they had talked here.

An injection

Michael:"Wha, wha, what's happening!!  Elsa is unusually growling! Oh what a thick needle!"
Elsa:"Ouch!"

The vet:" It's your turn,Michael."

Autumn

Suddenly summer changes to autumn in Vienna.  The sky is clean.  It's a little bit sad to see roses gone.

 

Elsa:"Look! It's 4 ℃!  How cold  outside is ! " (at six in the morning)

 

 

 

 

Water

Vienna supplies good running water to drink.We can't drink unboiled water in almost all the cities in Europe.Vienese are lucky. I think all cats and dogs in Vienna are also lucky.

Hello,again.

It's amazing!  Both Elsa and Michael remembered me when I came back to Vienna after an interval of three months.They know my foot steps.  When they hear other foot steps except mine and my husband's, they always hide themselves in a back room.  But when I went up the stairs and reached the front door, they welcomed me!   How happy I was!

Asisi loves to sit here and enjoys the summer garden in the provincial small town Gamagori-Japan, which is located in the middle of Japan at the bay side near Nagoya. I also enjoyed the life in the peaceful, tranquil town this summer.

Mama: " I saw a cat do a  High-touch in an old people's home in Germany. It must be healing for the aged.  You have to learn,too."

Socks

My son turns his socks inside out when he takes them off.  I (his mother) turn them over to the right side before or after washing. Most mothers and wives do such a thing in Japan.
Housemaids or male housemaids may do it  in some countries -India ,african countries and so on.
People in some Euroean countries or in the United States may do or have to do it by himself. I want to know who turns over your socks  in your country.

Asisi's entry

Asisi entries again. She lives in Gamagori,Japan.
She is an american short hair of 4 years old.  She is busy capturing a lizard or sometimes a baby snake at this time of the year.  She stays in the garden all day long waiting for games.
And she sleeps well at night.

Terrorism again

Four years ago, I was in Kampala, the capital of Uganda. When people were watching the game of  the final of World Cup, two Ethiopian restaurants and a  public view place were attacked, and more than 70 people died.  It was said that Al-Shabab concerned the raid.

On the 15th, three days ago, at least 49 fans were killed in a seperate raid on hotels in Kenya. It was reported that this attack was also by Al-Shabab.  I 'm very sorry to hear that sad news.

Elsa:" Mummy, I will support Japanese team."

 

 

World Cup

Michael:"Of course I suport teams from Africa because I was born in Uganda. The game Cote d'Ivoire vs Japan was great. I was fascinated by speedy offense from Cote d'Ivoire. I have to train myself for the next cat world cup."

Wine

Austria is one of the countries which produce the best wine.  But the production is not sufficient enough to export all over the world. You have to come and try it .It's really good!

Elsa:" This wine is from Slovenia. Giulio gave it to us. And the other small one is from South Africa.It was given as a souvenir from papa's colleague. Which one do you want to try, today?"

Rainy days

Michael: It's an icy cold rainy day today,too.  It's not  usual in the middle of May.
               Mama had  bought a new sommer white jacket for the party last night , but she couldn't use it.  Papa had asked mama to take his winter coat to the laundry shop.  But she forgot to do so. He was lucky because he could wear the coat yesterday.

Look, Humphrey ( a big dog of our neighbour) is going for a walk! What a hard working man!

Birthday

Mama:"What day is it today?"

Elsa and Michael:".................."

Mama:"Did you forget it?"

           "........................"

Mama:" Hey, you two! Please say happy birthday to me!"

Lullaby

Two days ago I had a heavy nosebleed.  After three hours bleeding, I went to the biggest emergency hospital in Vienna at midnight.  Thanks for the marvelous treatment ,I'm now OK.   I always have  low blood pressure,but then my blood pressure was over 180!  I don't know why.  Doctors asked me and my husband if there was something .  It was interesting if they meant my husband's DV, because he is the last person to do the violence.
I'm 55,going on 56 next month.  This happening made me think to write a will ,preparing for the worst.

Easter

Elsa:" Humph! Easter eggs, easter bunny, so what?  Why don't you decorate easter cats?"

Mama:" You look really nice with your new green collar.Your green eyes match it well,Elsa."

A balance ball

Michael:" May I use this balance ball?  It's a good tool to fix the stoop. But it's too big for me.
                Isn't it funny if I have a straight back?"

Mozambique

Elsa: "Mummy, Can you give me this bag?  You've got it as a souvenir from Mozambique,right?
          I liked it.  The fabric is just like Ugandan one.  It smells African."

Bye bye, Nana

Elsa:" Don't forget to do homework after you enter junior high school in Budapest. You were so ernst  here that I was proud of you.  Continue the piano lesson ,also the flute.  And help your mother, and and......"
         ( A shadow says:" Are you a teacher of Nana's school,Elsa?")

Elsa:"Thank you for playing with me. I will never forget you!!  Please don't forget me!!   Nana, good luck to you!!)
        ( A shadow says:" Well said,Elsa. All right")

Breakfast

Elsa:"That's my seat. Change, Michael"
Michael:" No, this is my place. I love to sit here while Papa is taking breakfast.  He is very busy.
                He will probably come back late tonight,too. This is the only time I can be with him."

I'm home.

Michael: " Welcome back,mum. I haven't been naughty."
Elsa:" Wecome back,mum.  We didn't quarrel. How was Japan?"

Mama: "I'm so happy to see you again.  It's really nice you two haven't  forgot me. "

St.Valentine's day

Michael: "No one gave me chocolate!  It's strange. I believe that I'm more handsome  than the cats in
                 Cat Cafe  in Vienna. But I heard they've got chocolate.  Elsa, please give me 
                 obligatory gift chocolate!" 

Promise

Michael: "You also have to leave Vienna,Kochan?  Budapest is not so far from here.
                 Please come and see me as often as you can. Don't forget the friendship among
                 men,OK?"

At a loss

Elsa: "What a bad news!  Nana is leaving Vienna. I'll miss her.

         I'm afraid Michael is the only mate left.  Hmm,hmm, I don't feel like playing with that stupid mate."

Basking in the sun

Michael:" I wonder where mama is? She's not been with me for a  month. Elsa told me mama is probably in Japan.  I've been so bored. Who can come and play with me?"

Asisi and Gramma

James Bowen says in his book, "Thanks to Bob I got over the drug addiction."  Bob is a ginger Tom cat. I was amazed at Bob's cleverness. The sense of responsibility that he must feed Bob and the love let Bowen become strong.
My mother is 85 years old. She has lived with Asisi for three and a half years. Asisi is also contributing to her mental health.

Asisi

This american short hair is called Asisi(ajiji) after a fish name Aji.  While my son was preparing for the entrance exam to university four years ago, we bought her at the pet shop. She was so cute that my son could be relaxed though it was a tough time for him. I wanted to take her to Uganda with me, but it was too far  for the cat to travel from Japan to Africa. So I asked my mother to take care of her. Now her job is to relax my mother and her neighbors.

A happy new year

My first dream of this year was that my husband changed his job.

The second dream  was that Mt.Fuji erupted.
They say the dream of Mt. Fuji is the best of all as the first dream in Japan. But what does the eruption mean?
